Most of the newsletter campaigns let you do it
MailChimp (they have a free account)
aweber
mynewsletterbuilder

If you have access to a hosting account with phpMyAdmin and MySQL you can use PHPlist (phplist.com)

You'll just need to put the variable in the greeting i.e.
Dear {First_Name}
Every program is different though.
Hope that helps a bit.

Two good services that I recommend are Aweber or Icontact.  They offer tons of features and they are also very affordable and reliable

You will notice most of the noted internet marketers are using Aweber ( or a re-badged Aweber like Mike Filsaimes's Pro-sender). With the recent changes to Get Response, quite a few marketers have changed over to Aweber from Get Response.

There are some "free" auto-responder systems but you generally find your emails will have some adverising added to them. This does not project a professional image to your email recipients.
